Junkplanet

Bio

Junkplanet started as the solo project of John Brainlove (singer, writer, Brainlove Records founder). A 20-minute record of splattering electronic punk and soporific squiggling was released, and he was seen live supporting Max Tundra, Kid Carpet, Kevin Blechdom, Bishi and Planningtorock amongst others. He was joined in late 2006 by Christopher Alcxxk (sometimes seen gracing the stage with Mystery Jets). The two developed a gently experimental, semi-improvised but still song-based live show and played widely with bands like Gay Against You, Ebony Bones, Agaskodo Teliverek and Napoleon IIIrd. They garnered radio play from such luminaries as Steve Lamacq and John Kennedy, and were invited to perform on Xfm sessions with Jeremy Warmsley and Pagan Wanderer Lu before parting ways in Summer 2007.

What will happen next? Who can tell.
