Formed in 2001 by Emma Laporte et François Puech, 16pac started playing electro-pop, influenced by artists like Bjork or Portishead.

Joined by bassist Vincent Soleil in 2004, their music became progressively more varied and they self-released their second album Endless Work In Progress in 2006.
