Bio
Curerbell is primarily singer / songwriter Kevin Jones from Llanelli South Wales, playing with a band as, and when, required.
For the past five years Curerbell have played and recorded some of the most basic, yet anthemic songs in the indie arena and continue to gain new fans world-wide with the new limited edition and self-funded EP release of ‘This Used To Be A Happy Place’. Recorded in June 2005 working with producer Tim Hamill and drummer Aled Richards - of former welsh chart toppers Catatonia.
Gigs played by Curerbell have mainly been in the south of the UK, mostly in capital of Wales, Cardiff and in London.
Acts Curerbell have supported include; David Devant And His Spirit Wife, Jeff Klien and Hard-Fi. BBC Radio Wales have given some airplay to Curerbell and so has Claire Sturgess on XFM in London. Curerbell’s last demo ‘Waiting For The World’ was featured on BBC Radio One’s unsigned website, getting praise from Radio 1 DJ Edith Bowman. Radio 1 DJ Huw Stephens is also very familiar with the music of Curerbell. Curerbell’s sound is fresh, anthemic, melodious, catchy music, just how music should be. Comparisons have been made to the likes of Travis, Coldplay and Ash, which is fine, but the sound and style of Curerbell is distictive and unique. Following in the footsteps of Welsh greats such as Manic Street Preachers, Super Furry Animals, and now filling the space that Catatonia left. Well known on the Cardiff circuit and often playing there most weeks giving you the Social Melodies you need.
