Delta Saint are the guitar toting ladies Paula and Kay, and drum beat maestro Martin, who make blues-surf-experimental-punk for the road movie life.

Eloquently capturing the frenzy of a desert car chase or a late night swagger through the neon lights, Delta Saint’s suave melodies are a glorious melting pot of sounds. A decadent punk edge rides alongside adrenalin fuelled desert rock, mingling effortlessly with flamenco, big band swing and delta blues. It’s an eclectic riot of melodic spiky guitars, driving bass lines, pounding beats and glorious female harmonies.

Formed in early 2003, the band are inspired by the early delta blues sounds of Sister Rosetta Tharpe, Memphis Minnie, the surf punk of Dick Dale, the hardcore sounds of bands like Fugazi. With a nod towards melodic and moody guitar pop from the likes of Guided By Voices, Nick Cave and The Breeders, combined with a healthy dose of the eclectic, Delta Saint have created a sound brimming with tuneful weirdness.
