Formula Bone

Bio

“Holy Fucking Jesus. Formula Bone are here to kick your brain off. The Rupert The Bastard EP is a six-song thrillogy composed of filthy futuresexrock... Formula Bone do drum-machine pop n roll so fast, stylish and out of control that it makes everyone else look stupid. No po-faced leather jacket wearing monochrome London fashion-mag losers here - Formula Bone are in Glorious Technicolor” - John Brainlove, www.brainlove.co.uk

“Within seconds you’re in no doubt that newcomer Villeneuve cares less about pole position than flipping, crashing, and burning” - Kitty Empire, NME

“Now here’s a perky little item... when we zapped our lazers on these cheeky chopsies cd bytes we stood back, admired and applauded. Angular, disjointed and quirked distorto pop... one to observe” - Bugbear Promotions, Hope & Anchor Programme

“A fucking car crash of everything you could ever want” - www.bleedmusic.com

“A spirited racket” - Steve Lamacq, BBC Radio 1

“Here’s half an hour of genuinely the most entertaining new thing since your first wet dream” - Simon Herbertson, dddd Fanzine

Formula Bone are the award breaking London 3 piece band of the moment. Since their debut at a Sonic Mook Experiment Future Rock and Roll night in 2004, Formula Bone have quickly gained popularity and acclaim after a perky series of extraordinary and exciting UK and London shows.

The band’s success recently culminated in Steve Lamacq playing the opening track from their home recorded Rupert the Bastard EP on Radio 1. Their next release will be a revamped version of the EP , available soon on Brainlove Records. Formula Bone will also appear on the next Brainlove Records compilation with Piney Gir, Vicki Churchill, Bishi and Junkplanet among many others.

The driving force behind Formula Bone is Fidel Villeneuve. At 19 he had his first album released on Digital Hardcore, and has had numerous other small releases to his name. All these and more have earned Fidel a reputation as a fearless rock and roll innovator. Formula Bone split in 2005, but a new band, APPLICANTS, sprang from it's twitching corpse.
