Giraffe is James Gardner with a few friends from Santa Cruz.

After releasing an acoustic debut EP Dusty Window, the group moved into a more sonically diverse realm with their self-titled follow up, exploring sample-based song structure, noise-based electronic textures, and instrumental jams. Looking for new ground, Giraffe turned off the computer and began the development of their new record in a more classic rock format: guitar, organ, bass, and drums.

All those experimentations brought the band to release in 2006 their debut, self-titled, album.
