The band originally came together in the spring of the year 2000 under the shameful moniker of Dr. Gonzo & the Smoking Fisherman and voyaged out on a seemingly fruitless tour of Scotland, where they were forced, at one stage, to busk in Glasgow city centre … or face starvation, quickly spotted by legendary Norfolk entrepreneurs The Sickroom Gramophone Company, they released a highly acclaimed debut 7" ‘Little Boy’, which subsequently drew plaudits from the likes of Everett true and the mighty John Peel himself.
