Megadeth is a American[[{Heavy metal music}|heavy metal]] band from Los Angeles, California, formed in 1983. Founded by Dave Mustaine following his departure from Metallica, the band has since released eleven studio albums (twelfth due in September 2009), six live albums, two EPs, twenty six singles, thirty-two music videos, and three compilations.
