West-London four-piece My First Knife Fight have been doing the rounds on the London toilet circuit since March 2001. Taking their name from a comic that provided "an easy to follow guide to advanced knife fighting", the band's fast-paced rock takes the best bits from Placebo, My Vitriol, the Foo Fighters and the Cure, combinings effects-laden atmospherics with relentlessly uplifting melody. Definitely ones to watch... they play the Barfly in early January.
