Riviera F

Bio

Riviera F are the hottest and most talked about new electronic band in London. Originating from Russia, France, Holland and England, band members Alexa Marlen, Kairo Sin, Etienne LeBeau and Logan Sky serve up an electro-fuelled cocktail of sophisticated, stylish chart-bound pop songs set to digital disco beats.

Riviera F have been featured in Dazed and Confused, ID, Nylon (US), Time Out, The Guardian, Very London and The Independent. Their just-recorded own release ‘Now We’ve Got Europe’ EP, produced by Nick Rhodes of Duran Duran fame, is currently being played by some of London’s most exciting clubs (NagNagNag, Computer Blue, Kashpoint, Fanclub) and they’ve had airplay on numerous digital radio-stations as well as recording a session for the legendary John Peel.

The band have played a successful string of live dates at many of London’s venues over the last two years. 2002 saw them chosen to be the resident band at The Fan Club (at Camden’s The Verge), a popular London Electro club, where they have attracted a large following, and approached by Larry Tee who asked them to play the Electroclash festival in NY in October 2002, as well as requesting their presence on his forthcoming ‘Electroclash 2’ compilation.

Riviera F display an acute appreciation of continental romance and ageless glamour, and Russian singer Alexa's deader-than-deadpan delivery, unsmiling aloofness and Helsinki-blonde locks are reminiscent of Debbie Harry in the "Atomic" video. The presence of an unmanned drumkit behind them is deliciously ironic. With the right producer, Riviera F could go all the way - The Independent

Brilliant. Definitely a band to watch out for. Riviera F are cool enough to make the Arctic look positively toasty - The Guardian

The band oozes style, which is proven tonight by the sharp dressing, strict adherence to the no smiling rule and use of "vogueing". With rock steady cat-walk strutting tunes and Daft Punk style keyboards, Riviera F are fascinating - Nylon, US

The missing link between Ladytron and Elastica, maybe. Even cooler, definitely - Very London
