says Veggie:
During the early part of 1999 I was playing a small part of the acoustic circuit in London. Through a mutual acquaintance Damian was introduced to me. Although initially reluctant to get together he managed to persuade me during the train journey from Liverpool Street to Chelmsford that we should at least give it a go.

We played for a while as an acoustic duo and then tried various things including a drum machine, until Keith joined us around October of that year. Although we had been gigging already under the Six Months On name it wasn't until Keith joined us that we started to develop our own sound and style. We played our first venue gig as a trio at The Square in Harlow having been together for only six weeks.
