Bio
The Box Set are a Casio-core orgasmopop duo based in Sheffield, England, making a minimum wage crusade on post-Soviet pop.
Featuring Richey "The Killer" Khrushchev and Jacky Knife, their original aim was to be "the cheapest act around". They are proud to have achieved so much with the help of Sheffield's fine charity shops.
The Box Set are termed 'Team Box Set' when they do things that are not performed on stage. This includes:
- The curation of events - DJ-ing - Remixing - Filming - Design for all the above
The Box Set concern themselves with mixing together pop music, Casio & Yamaha keyboards from 1981-95 and sexually explicit lyrics, and tout themselves as "Ladytron on love eggs after a shopping spree in Argos and Poundland".
