The Stereo Morphonium consists of Darren Haymanand Joel Neumatic, who were brought together by a love of synths and by their joint appearance in an early incarnation of Hefner. Having written a set's worth of music in two weeks on a crappy drum machine and an analogue synth, they played a few gigs and recorded six songs and then went to ground.

In eary 2004 the Filthy Little Angels label approached them about re-starting the band, and the cogs got back in motion. The duo worked on two new songs, which were released on a EP along with three of the old songs.

Darren is currently solo and touring with piano, guitar and ukulele. Darren sings and plays guitar and synth in Mutronium.
