Forming in 2001, the last two years have seen Tuco writing and recording original material, experimenting with both song structure and recording techniques.

Their sound takes in references from all over the musical spectrum - hip hop beats, film score style chord changes, big electronic noises, frenetic power pop songs with audio warfare guitar shrieks give way to soft psyche-soul songs with sometimes joyous, sometimes plaintive surreal narratives. Other pieces make absorbing soundscapes complete with arabian chants and sound effects created by throwing microphones out of windows or simply collected on foot, dictaphone in hand in a farmers field at 4am on a Sunday morning.

Tuco were picked up recently by Robot Records and released their six song EP The Shrinking Process on 18/07/2005.
