Aussie duo, Eddie Katz and Paul Read, formed Where Echoes End in 1997 from the ashes of a "progressive metal band" called Vauxdvil. The two musicians headed in a dark ambient-electro direction and released their first CD, 'By The Pricking of My Thumb'. Despite international acclaim however, no record contract was forthcoming.
Following the tragic death from Lukemia of founder member Paul, Where Echoes End continued, augmented with drummer Dean Vine and a vocalist, MichelAngela, they finally released the second CD, 'My Sweet Grotesque in 2001.
