Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds - Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds

Habzy1234 by Habiba Khanom
Possibly one of the greatest songwriters of all time. He wrote the most anthemic songs in the world such as 'Don't Look Back in Anger' and 'Wonderwall.' With Oasis of course. We've all been waiting for his solo album for 2 years now but&nbsp;initially for about 10 years or so, but now, with Oasis done and dusted, he has given us a fantastic solo album to listen to, with two Oasis tracks on it which are 'I Wanna Live In A Dream (In My Record Machine)' and 'Stop The Clocks' and has&nbsp;reworked&nbsp;both.<br /> <div> <br /></div> <div> A 10 track record filled with heartfelt lyrics such us <i>"Hang in there love, you gotta hold on."</i>&nbsp;on the opening track of the album 'Everybody's&nbsp; On The Run'. which has a big&nbsp;orchestral vibe to it.&nbsp; He seems doing okay by himself, or in other words, without his brother Liam. Beady Eye are doing&nbsp;fairly&nbsp;alright with their rock n roll sound, but Noel has his own type of musical&nbsp;style, with most of his songs sounding rather acoustic and more laid back. He doesn't want to be compared to Beady Eye, and why should he? His songs are really different to Beady Eye and there's nothing really to compare.&nbsp;</div> <div> <br /></div> <div> 'Dream On' is one of rockiest songs on the album. It has a heavy guitar sound with&nbsp;thumping&nbsp;beats and has a type of a Jazz influence on it. Quite a few songs on the record has Jazz influences on it, songs such as 'The Death of You and Me' and 'Soldier Boys and Jesus Freaks.'&nbsp;</div> <div> <br /></div> <div> 'AKA...What A Life!' is not even&nbsp;comparable with it's part two which is 'AKA...Broken Arrow.' 'AKA...What A Life!' is more upbeat and the only song which isn't really guitar sounding. It has more of a disco feel to it and a song that can easily get you dancing. Whereas 'AKA...Broken Arrow' is more&nbsp;acoustic and has kind of a Spanish feel to it with it's Spanish guitar riffs.&nbsp;</div> <div> <br /> Closing the album is the lost Oasis track 'Stop The Clocks.' That song was sitting around doing nothing for years, but yet so&nbsp;familiar&nbsp;with Oasis fans. He has reworked the track and it is more of an up to date version now, but to be honest, I prefer the old Oasis version of the song.<br /> <br /></div> <div> Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, the album is set to do well in the UK album charts. Can he score a number 1? Beady Eye reached only number 3 with their debut 'Different Gear, Still&nbsp;Speeding,' which isn't bad, but I reckon Noel will do well.&nbsp;</div> <div> <br /></div> <div> Noel has&nbsp;experimented&nbsp;with this album, which isn't a bad thing. He has amazed his fans with his solo songs, but has yet to pull it off live. He starts his UK tour this month. Seeing him live as a proper solo artist for the first time should be interesting.</div> <div> <br /></div> <div> Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds' is out on 17th October 2011.</div>
