Ozzy Osbourne

Gets Me Through

Label: Epic Records

tbezer by Terry Bezer October 2nd, 2001

The double O is back with this, his first single in five long years. ‘Gets Me Through’ is a typically raucous affair, starting with the trademark tinkling of the ivories before giving way to an unholy bastard of a riff courtesy of Mr. Zakk Wylde. While Ozzy’s vocals and lyrics remain predictable from the very start (Did he ever write an actual vocal line?), you have to applaud the man for still producing a tune of this capacity and managing to not sound dated. A worthy comeback by anyone’s standards.
