The D4

Get Loose

Label: Infectious Release Date: 16/09/2002

2357
ltarry by Lucy Tarry September 14th, 2002

Before we begin, a little quiz: "Name a good band from New Zeala..."

STOP!! Don't even waste time thinking about it 'cause there aren't any! But worry no longer, flying the flag, rounding the troops and preparing for attack are sleazy southern hemisphere punk merchants, The D4.

Live favourite 'Get Loose' is the perfect (not even) two minute garage rock stomper that's not just a short, sharp shock of a record, but more of a frenzied savaging by a fat man with a rolling pin. They may be accused of cashing in on the current thirst for dirty, well-dressed, trashy punk, but The D4 haven't just jumped on the bandwagon - they're taking it for a sweaty joyride.

Listen: summer is OVER - this is your last chance to fuck everything off and have some FUN. So, in the words of Jimmy Christmas: "GET UP! GET OUT! GET LOOSE!"
