I got given a homemade cab the other day, and i din't know much about it. I know it was made by a guy who ran a guitar shop, and was used by both him for years and by a younger musician for years, and that is it.

However, I took it to a practice space and used it with one of the heads there (a pretty rubbish Peavy one), and it sounded at least as good as the Peavy cab, if not better.

I am therefore going to sell my combo, and just buy a head but is there anyway of knowing what is the best match for the cab, without taking it everywhere with me to try it out?

Also - £300 heads? The Orange Tiny Terror?
