RIP Edgar Froese of Tangerine Dream...
Those 'kosmische' synth sounds were quite a big part of my childhood, as my dad's a long-time fan of (mainly earlier) Tangerine Dream. It's probably fair to say that thinking back, as a young teenager, about those weird, cool sequencer sounds that I soaked up as a nipper was part of what'd later get me more into electronic music as a whole (along with 'Kid A', and hearing Warp Records stuff on David Firth's animations).

Here's summat from 'Phaedra' -- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pwNwU34yvNg

and 'White Eagle', which is probably the one that embedded into my head most significantly when I was hella small -- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DeTxTgfbcDo
