New Thee Oh Sees album in May- Mutilator Defeated at Last
John Dwyer and co. announce their annual album release (second after their 'hiatus') and drop the opening track with the announcement:
Brigid Dawson's back and they're recording as a 5-piece, good news on both counts in my opinion.
Drop was a minor disappointment for me. Not bad by any means, just not as interesting as what came before. I'd really like to see them explore the rockier, weirder elements of the last few releases, but the new track doesn't suggest too much as to which direction they'll be going. I like it at first glance, but this time last year they released 'Penetrating Eye' which wasn't at all representative of Drop so who knows?
