Just thought I would start a thread where we can share the most lazy cringe worthy lyrics around.

I'm going to start by highlighting an example of just plain lazy lyricism from someone who really should do better. My first example are the repeated opining lines from 'All in a Day' from, the otherwise fine, Joe Strummer album 'Streetcore'.

"Hey ho hey! Its the acid test. Got a busy day, I'm wearing a vest

Hey ho hey! Try not to get bent. Got a busy day, I'm wearing a vest"

Its hardly the worst line in the world but its fairly cringe worthy and certainly does not bare repeating. Its a terrible use of rhyming couplets where you have just shoehorned a word that has absolutely no relevance to the song. Good to know that he is wearing a vest though. Wouldn't have wanted him catching a cold.
