I really miss Plan B and Careless Talk Costs Lives magazines

Fuzzy_Dunlop [Edit] [Delete] 09:55, 15 September '15

there's been a huge void in the music press ever since they ceased publication. Since then I've started subscribing to Wire but as excellent as that is it isn't the same.

Those magazines had it all - brilliant writing, amazing full-page photographs and illustrations, breadth of coverage and the paper smelled really nice too. It was great how they didn't discriminate between the relative popularity of the bands it featured and championed equality across music.

Think there was another one when Careless Talk ceased publication, Loose Lips Sink Ships I think it was called. Seemed to be more photo-oriented (mostly Steve Gullick). That was great too but didn't last long.

I wonder where all these writers and photographers and illustrators are now. They had it nailed. Perfect music journalism and an incredible passion for their art.
