How often do you have to travel by bus/train/car to get to gigs? Do you find that it's an inconvenient expense or "all part of the experience"? Is it worth it? How far is too far for regular travel to gigs?

I recently moved to Edinburgh and I find myself travelling to Glasgow for most of the gigs that I go to (for live music, Glasgow is MILES ahead of Edinburgh). It can be expensive and a bit of a hassle but more often than not, I find that it's totally worth it.
