Musicians rejecting awards

Fuzzy_Dunlop [Edit] [Delete] 09:58, 22 October '15

Inspired by this: http://pitchfork.com/news/61727-kylie-minogue-reads-nick-caves-infamous-1996-mtv-rejection-letter/

I think the idea is sound and of course they are within their rights to do so, but when a musician goes public and publishes an open letter as if they want the whole world to know it begins to look rather try-hard and attention seeking, sometimes even quite arrogant.

If the musician really didn't give a shit they should just let them get on with it and don't bother turning up to the awards ceremony.
