Collectives / local scenes

funkycow [Edit] [Delete] 13:18, 8 January '16

Name some good collectives or scenes where a group of artists play in each other's bands / play similar sort of music. Inspired by the loose Bristolian association of Rozi Plain, This Is The Kit and Rachael Dadd, who all play in each other's bands from time to time and pedal rather lovely atmospheric folk as linked below:

This Is The Kit (Spores All Settling, from last year's Bashed Out)

Rozi Plain (Jogalong, from last year's Friend):

which was also a split single with Rachael Dadd's Strike Our Scythes (from 2014's We Resonate)

These are all great albums incidentally. Fans of Julia Holter or melodious experimental female led bands should enjoy this stuff (This Is The Kit is the most traditionally folky I'd say).
