I was listening again to Off the Wall as i was reading a review of the re-release of it in Q. I have the 2001 edition of the album which is a fantastic remaster by the way. the guy is a legend. when i was a kid growing up in the 80s jacko was all i listened to. its a shame though he lost a signature sound. OFT sounds fresh today where Dangerous almost sounds slightly dated.

From then on it was all downhill. he should have made more music during the 90s than he did. crappy remix albums aside his output was limited. he never sounded as exciting than he did in 1979.
