it's not even that i don't like them that's confusing, it's just really, really, really bizarre me to that this kind of music is (a) getting made in 2016 (b) is popular with millenials (c) is considered queer / feminist / diy or whatever

remember reading an interview with good old Dan Bejar where he talked about the early 2000s, when The Strokes and bands like that started becoming popular in the new york indie circuit, and he dropped out of DIY because he couldn't possibly understand why something like that was happening
