Björk announces first batch of world tour dates
Mike_Diver by Mike Diver March 20th, 2007

Björk has announced the first few dates of her forthcoming world tour. If you already read the headline, there was really no need to read that first sentence. But you did anyway. I just wasted a second of your life. Yes.

The Icelandic singer's new album, Volta, is due out on May 7, and she's expected to perform at venues the world over in support. Already confirmed are appearances at a selection of festivals, including Glastonbury in June and Roskilde in July, and now the following shows in the US and Canada have been made official:

May
2 New York Radio City Music Hall
5 New York United Palace Theater
8 New York Apollo Theater
12 Chicago Auditorium Theatre
15 Denver Red Rocks Amphitheatre
19 San Francisco Shoreline Amphitheatre
23 Vancouver Deer Lake Park

Björk is also playing in Reykjavik in April, ahead of these tour dates, so we've heard. Nice. Keep an eye on future dates by clicking to her MySpace.
