No more Order: Manchester pop legends split
Mike_Diver by Mike Diver May 4th, 2007

Manchester pop outfit New Order have broken up, according to bass player Peter Hook.

Hook told Xfm that the band's time is up, adding that singer Bernard Sumner and he aren't working together any more. Hook will now work with Perry Farrell on the Jane's Addiction man's new Satellite Party project.

Hook said:

"I spoke to Perry, and he asked me to play bass, as he'd heard about New Order splitting up. Well yeah, me and Bernard aren't working together. Bernard went off for a break with Electronic, but that was different. But it's like the boy who cried wolf this time."

Is it? In what way? Oh Hooky, you mental old bass-lugging wide-legged man, you.
