Poll: vote bands onto the next Big Scary Monsters compilation
TheBoyDeadly by TheBoyDeadly March 6th, 2008

Oxfordshire label Big Scary Monsters is running a competition to find artists for its next compilation – and they want you to help them choose the winner.

Six winners, in fact. Hundreds of mp3 submissions have been whittled to 12, all of which you can find at Last.fm. Half of that dozen will make it onto The 6 Machine, a 10” vinyl the label will be releasing in April, when they are voted into the top six positions by anyone who wishes to indulge their democratic right.

Here are the final 12:

1. Blakfish - 'Preparing For Guests'
2. Caesura - 'Weight and Carriage'
3. Colour - 'Over The Moon'
4. Copy Haho - 'You Are My Coal Mine'
5. Minotaur Explode - 'Stark's Pond'
6. My First Tooth - 'Sleet and Snow'
7. Our Own Devices - 'Fur On The Float'
8. Pennines - 'Open Closed Open'
9. Pictures - 'I Can't Touch Him; I Have Electric Hands'
10. The Defeat - 'An Entire Day In Pastel Colours'
11. The World On Fire - 'No To Knowing'
12. Twin Atlantic - 'Time Is The Enemy'

As before, listen here and vote here. The election closes at midday on Monday (Mar 10).
