Joe Lean and the Jing Jang Jong

Lucio Starts Fires

Label: Young & Lost Club Records Release Date: 08/10/2007

27954
GarethD by Gareth Dobson October 3rd, 2007

Jingle jangle, jingle jangle plonk.

That’s the sound of music – Our Music, their industry – falling into a very deep abyss.

Did you know that Universal officially bought music last week? If you check the back of your neck – just gently sweep your fashionable haircut to one side – you’ll feel the words PROPERTY OF UNIVERSAL MUSIC stamped across your nape.

But, via the Universal Records-affiliated Young And Lost Club, we can allay our fears about the death of music by listening to this rather playful romp, with its shifting chords and gossamer skating across the top of the pop pond.

You know that old myth whereby the spider bites the neck of someone, and a couple of months later, hundreds of spiders burst out of the pulsating lump?

Razorlight = mother arachnid; JL&TJJJ** = baby octo-legged beast.
