Review by David Edwards

A truly gorgeous collection of sounds, flourishes and fresh, vibrant ideas.»

we loved the leisure society's debut album 'the sleeper' so much that it went into our top 10 albums of the year. now, it doesn't often happen that a group's second album is better than their first (discuss) but this is a real leap forward. the same feel, but better songs, more consistent writing, and with the added attraction of a fantastic cd with .... extra tracks. the group - led by ivor novello-recognised songwriter nick hemming - recorded this latest effort in a not-too-shabby-looking rented house in kent, and it's bigger, darker and yet more uplifting than anything they've done before. prepare to have your heart melted again by the leisure society.
