Adolescence is a defining moment in many people's lives. The eruption of internal chemistry, the astonishing burst of hormones during the teenage years is often accompanied by life-altering events: falling in love, experiencing rejection, heartache and inspiration. Heyrocco's new album 'Teenage Movie Soundtrack' is clearly informed by this era. Bubblegum pop meets the primordial rage of grunge, there's a sense of The Cure's introversion here matched to the sludge of Mudhoney.
