Once upon a time, Stephen Lawrie had a vision. Inspired by the have-a-go ethics of the Jesus And Mary Chain and dynamic beauty of My Bloody Valentine, he called his vision the Telescopes. They ended up on Creation Records. They should have been HUGE. That they weren't is probably the fault of one too many Gallaghers. 'Altered Perception' is an insight into the back catalogue of one of the most innovative group of artists' of the last 20 years.»
