What Green Day's recent resurgence can be attributed to, few really know. What DiS can suggest is this: American Idiot, the album, is actually pretty fuggin’ good. What it did was simple: up the politics and the angst; say hello to a career revival, a sack-load of awards and unprecedented sales. The latter by-product renders this review fairly pointless.
Face it: you’ve already heard this, and this review isn’t likely to change your already established opinion. Fair enough, so let’s talk about something else. Let’s talk about, um, space ships? No? Okay, your favourite board games, the ones that kept you quiet as a kid in the days before PlayStation 2 and reality television? You know, the ones your parents would pack into the boot for your weeklong ‘Holiday’ in Weymouth? Where it rained all week and you had to stay inside the caravan whilst dad watched the darts on telly? Yeah? Cool…
DiScuss: What were your favourite board games as a child? Mine was probably Ghost Castle. It ruled.
