Das Oath

Das Oath

Label: Dim Mak Release Date: 16/08/2004

Mike_Diver by Mike Diver August 12th, 2004

I hate bands that wussy out and release self-titled albums. I mean, Das Oath could have called their debut full-length release anything they wanted to, anything. But no, even they pussy out and call it 'Das Oath'. What they should have done is call it 'Punk FUCKING Rock', cos that's what they are, and it's what 'Das Oath' is.

Or maybe Das Oath should just change their name to Punk FUCKING Rock, since they OWN the genre - brutal, crazy fast punk rock doesn't get any better than this. 'Das Oath' spills its guts - 15 tracks - in the blink of an eye. Guitars go CHUGCHUGCHUG and drums go BAMBAMBAMBAM throughout, reallyfuckingfast and reallyfuckingLOUD. Das Oath should take all the punk rock pussies out into the street and give them a damn good hiding for abusing the genre. Aaah, maybe that's why they've self-titled this, to make those frauds masquerading as Punk FUCKING Rock think that they too are a bunch of wussies. Oh boy, are they ever gonna get their asses whupped...

That half-mark dropped is purely for the self-titled aspect of this release. Everything else is perfection. Really.
