Sum 41

In Too Deep

Label: Release Date: 03/12/2001

jwestfox by James Westfox December 11th, 2001

I have a friend at school called Chris. He is just the most fantastic person. He's really funny, he always has my best interests at heart, and he makes me feel considerably happier when I'm down. A lot like this record.

A squillion times better than the yawnathon that was: "Fat Lip", this charming piece of punk-pop joy is one of those smile-while-you-listen records. It's a record to listen after you've been dumped, after your football team has lost, after you've failed your Exams. Cos you'll feel better when it's finishes.

With a fantastically exciting little guitar line to both open and close the song, and the hookiest chorus of the year, "Sum 41" have produced a punk record that even I, the Indiest of the Indie, can enjoy.

Buy it, ya bastards.
