If you are dedicated to the guitar and the art of hitting drums rather than sequencing them click the back button now. There is nothing here for you. This is strictly a 1/10 regardless of whoever features on the tracklisting. The use of the words Club, Mix, and Ibiza should have given you the hint already.

Right, now all the narrow minded retroheads are gone let's get down to business. This is quite frankly a great compilation. Not for the mixing mind you, that's somewhat pish in places, but quite frankly you will not need another commercial dance album this summer once you have this. A quick glance at the tracklisting on CD1 reveals a host of names you should be aware of if you've listened to the charts at all in recent months. The Space Cowboy, Sophie Ellis Bextor, DB Boulevard, X-Press 2, Missy Elliot, Basement Jaxx, Layo & Bushwacka...plus forthcoming surefire hits from Timo Maas and Mousse T. Most of the tracks are remixed to some degree to keep the DJ-in-your-living-room vibe going, thankfully still relatively true to their originals though.

CD2 starts with an onslaught from the (airplay devoid) midlands scene with the All Around the World label supplying Flip & Fill, Milk Inc, N-Trance, and Kelly Llorenna. Sheffield Tunes on the other hand provide the uncomprehensively massive Scooter single, 'The Logical Song'. After the extended session of Ian Van Dahl's 'Reason' (admittedly a long way from their apex, 'Castles In The Sky') it gets a little more underground. General club music that doesn't engage anymore than it irritates, presumably this is where the pills kick in (or you pass out).

If you're off to Ibiza, or indeed lower rung destinations like Faliraki or, god forbid, Benidorm you need this cd. If not you could do worse than play it when surfing on the 'net, whilst the sun blazes outside.
