Guru 7

Untitled

Label: Release Date: 15/07/2000

jmoore by James Moore July 15th, 2000

**Guru 7 are Colchester’s finest

Psychedelic-rock band**

But I guess that isn’t too hard for them to win that, as they are Colchester’s only Psychedelic-rock band. G7 are five teenage lads who are inspired by the likes of Pink Floyd, DJ Shadow, Underworld and Radiohead. On this tape they’ve managed to amalgamate their influences’ sounds. The results are unbelievably unique to anything else coming out of Essex, if not the whole of the UK. The musicianship and song writing are astonishing considering their young age. The only part I’m not too sure about is the vocals but I’m sure they’ll improve with time.
