This third demo from Cardiff based WishingHour offers up four slabs of bruising metal combined with a show of hardcore anger. First track 'Gloria' comes flying at you with real power & you immediately realise that the vocals of CiCi could strip paint at 100 yards(if not more) & she could certainly give one of their influences, Tairrie B,a run for her money! There is much more of a raw,hardcore element to their sound as opposed to the more metallic sounding My Ruin** which gives them a really angry sound. 'Checkmate' shows that they can add melody to the melting pot & that CiCi has quite a good singing voice beneath the guttural emissions.'(Not)War' & 'Love Like A Virus' give more of the same crushing riffage & bruising vocals & demonstrates that the 3 part female/2 part male band have developed a tight sound in their two and a half years together.I for one would love the opportunity to see them on the road in support of someone(possibly because i'm too skint & lazy to travel to Wales to see them!),I reckon they would absolutely slay live & I definitely think the metallers out there would love them...worth checking out.
