I want to like this single, really I do.

Most of my record collection from ‘97-2000 consists of stuff that sounds like this (Scarfo, Divine Comedy, I could go on but I fear I’m losing our younger readers, and slightly embarrassing our older ones), you know, that time when indie was just starting to experiment with a gasp more electro sound…but, to be honest I can’t. This is lo-fi indie bollocks with vocals that are as strained as Elvis’ last movement.

Now That’s What I Call Indie 1996, anyone? Thought not…
