The Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster

Chicken

Label: Island Release Date: 12/05/2003

11743
domgourlay by Dom Gourlay May 7th, 2003

Kerbang, Kerbang, Pow! Pow! Pow! Ker-langggggg!!

That can only be one thing, right? The sound of Satan Presley serenading the Waltons accompanied by the emancipated grandchildren of Duane Eddy twanging away in the background.

“Your head’s too big but your mind’s too small” screams Satan. ‘Peter Gunn’ this ain’t.

To complicate matters further, there is no mention of chicken or sheep or bats which can only suggest these people have a healthy appetite and would probably prefer a normal square meal cooked by their mums.

But it all falls into place by the time you get to the b-side, and Satan P. croons “all my friends think I’m lazy, all your friends think I’m the devil”, which provides further proof that Beelzebub has formed his own 10-legged groove machine and is living on the south east coast of England, whilst busily stockpiling all the best tunes, the bastard.
