Released on 12” with a limited run of 500 numbered copies, Polar Remote’s debut EP was recorded live in their homemade studio in the Berkshire countryside. All that independence must've had a profound effect on the band, as the resultant EP is one of the most effortlessly lush and beautiful indie records I’ve heard this year.

Lead track, 'Bring Me Back Safe', bubbles warmly with atmospherics, pretty, understated guitar work and the kind of soaring vocals you won't have heard since garage rock destroyed melody. Polar Remote can do loud, but crucially they never make the mistake of being too loud. It’s clear that their talent lies in subtle beauty and they never betray this. In fact, everything on this EP sounds like it's been put there for a reason and the songs never seem overcrowded or overblown. A quality independent release.
