theendof [Edit] [Delete] 21:54, 21 September '08

Stoke Newington

The quite amazing Sons Of Noel And Adrian are bringing there 12 piece, progressive, moody folk to London. Fresh on heals of playing The End of Road festival this will be an amazing show with great support acts.

The music is acoustic and falls loosely into the progressive folk niche. At the core are Jacob and Toms tumbling guitars, joined by a colourful host of other instruments to create music that ranges from Shanty to Schoenburg, from deep underground to just above the surface and muses on whether excess can make you a better person and what's to do when your credit's all used up and there's nowhere to go.

Moody, melodic, sometimes slow, somtimes fast. Stunning, this some them up......
Wistfully uniting dark melodies, poetic lyrics and group harmonies the band produce an intense and broody brand of pop which reflects their current musical standpoint as well as their vision for the future.

Show Without Punch is a piano-led group, sitting somewhere between early Tom Waits and Talk Talk after a few pints of real cider. Roger Illingworth provides gruff vocals over percussive piano lines, backed by Adam Jarvis on upright bass, and Raphael Saib on drums. Show Without Punch’s limited edition first album draws influence from throughout the deep well of popular song.

Solo pop songstress from london. Great voice and set for the big time.

If that's not enough entrance is only £3.
And if that's not enough pints, shot and spirits are all £2.50. ALL NIGHT!
