Antarctica Takes It! are playing a free show tonight at Speedies, a vintage furniture shop just off Brick Lane. This will be an acoustic show, with guitar, ukulele, maybe some keyboard, voices and a bunch of shakers and toy tamborines that the band have borrowed from my two boys.

Antarctica Takes It! played an acoustic show yesterday in the merch tent at Indietracks and it was a real joy - lots of finger-clicking and singing along, and tonight should be a heap of fun too. They'll be playing more songs from their debut album, "The Penguin League", alongside newer songs, covers and whatever crops up on the night.

Doors are at 7.30pm, the band will be on at 9.30pm, there will be a cheap bar and sounds from Speedie's disco. The band fly home to Santa Cruz tomorrow, so please come along!
