PEACHES @ CORSICA STUDIOS

Peter580 [Edit] [Delete] 15:51, 9 June '09

Name: AITBF presents... PEACHES dj set

What: Fresh off the back of the success of her fourth album, 'I Feel Cream', which she produced herself, alongside input from Simian Mobile Disco, Soulwax, Digitalism and Drums of Death, we are delighted to announce that Peaches only summer DJ appearance in London will be for AITBF, at the intimate, Funktion 1 equipped Corsica Studios. Fans of her electro-orientated dirty dancefloor sound will not be disappointed - she packs nothing but the latest and greatest dancefloor bombs, as well as some special tracks of her own, and those that she collaborates with.

This night will be much more than a party though, it's an all-out war. Room 1 will be going directly head to head with room 2, as the boys take on the girls for the crown of dancefloor destroyers. In the pink corner, joining Peaches, will be DJs including Miss Odd Kidd, Girlcore's Naomi//, Captain magic from the up-and-coming booty champions Peanut Butter Jelly Time and more special guests to be announced. The blue corner pulls its weight with the guys from Hot Boy Dancing Spot co-curating the room alongside Blogger's Delight. DJs on the night will be Durrr's The Lovely Jonjo with his indie-80s-electronic stylings, a special trance(!) set from Joe and Will Ask, and the discerning selections of Adventures In The Beetroot Field residents, Casper C and Stopmakingme.

It's going to be one hell of a battle. Make sure you come down and cheer on your favourite team!

Who?: Camden Based promoters, AITBF, are the collective behind the Field Day Festival, multi-venue East London event Stag And Dagger and the unforgettable Easter extravaganzas at Fabric, that pioneered the art of pitching breaking indie-rock and electronic bands alongside established DJs and curveballs from the worlds of folk, performance art and prog-rock. Amongst others, AITBF was an early launching pad for the likes of Florence and the Machine, Crookers, Filthy Dukes, Thecocknbullkid, Neon Neon, Apes and Androids and Brodinski.

Why?: Because it beats working in a bank!
