Do you judge by appearances?

RFWare [Edit] [Delete] 11:31, 4 February '16

"I'm confused as to why people get offended when they are stereotyped on their appearance for first impressions. for first impressions.

I'm a professor. I am a co-founder of a successful company. I am an avid intellectual who's hobbies include reading technical literature in economics and the social sciences.

BUT LIKE LOOK LIKE A FUCKING EX-CONVICT. So when people I first meet assume that I'm intellectually a bit on the other end of where I really am, why would I EVER get offended at that?

The people who make such assumptions are using limited data to construct their best representation of reality. For those not in the know, that IS THE DEFINITION OF INTELLIGENCE. How the fuck am I gonna be pissed about people using their fucking reasoning skills? All cause I'm a special fucking snowflake?

Another example: girls on social media that look and act like very sexual people... DON'T get butthurt if people think you're a sexual being and deal with you in that way.

Or do get butthurt. I'll just post another dumb ass humblebrag status like this one as a response. Ugh."
