By this I mean not pop music, like Steps and stuff.

In comparison to most other people, I think I started at quite an unnatural age. It is because I had an older brother who got me into music, but in Year 3 at primary school, when I'd have been 7 years old, I was an avid Beatles and Oasis fan. I knew pretty much every single Beatles lyric from Please Please Me up until about Rubber Soul, and didn't get into the rest til later.

I didn't get into current music until 2002, when I discovered Highly Evolved.
