I don't dislike him as such but I don't get why he seems to be rather critically acclaimed and I don't really get why?

Based on "Stella" and "If You've Got The Money" he seems to write okay but unspectacular radio-friendly pop songs with mildly quirky lyrics in a somewhat-sounding exaggerated cockney accent.

There's nothing wrong with this per se but there's a lot of people who do this seem to be quite disliked for it yet he seems to be generally accepted as 'good' and I'm not entirely sure why.

Is he better than I think he is?
